Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 January 2026. By using the Albanika Press Intelligence Archive ("APIA", "the Service"), you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the APIA platform operated by Albanika Press ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise accessing the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use APIA. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@intelarchive.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used for abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

APIA offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. All fees are stated in US dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

Page credit packs are non-expiring add-ons that remain on your account regardless of subscription status. Subscription-included credits reset monthly and do not roll over.

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Permitted Use

You may use APIA for personal research, academic study, journalism, and educational purposes. You must not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download archive content in bulk
  • Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to the Service
  • Share account credentials with other individuals
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls, rate limits, or quota systems
  • Use the AI Research Assistant to generate disinformation or fabricated citations
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

6. Intellectual Property

The underlying declassified government documents in the archive are part of the US public domain. APIA's processing layer — including OCR text, extracted entities, AI-generated summaries, metadata schema, and the platform interface — is proprietary and owned by Albanika Press. You may not reproduce or distribute our processed metadata or AI outputs without written permission.

Downloaded PDFs may be used for personal research, citation in academic work, and journalism, consistent with the terms of the original public-domain release.

7. AI Research Assistant

The AI Research Assistant generates responses based on document content in the archive. All AI outputs are provided for informational and research purposes only. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content. You are responsible for verifying any claims against the source documents before publication or reliance.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Albanika Press shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account or through a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to hello@intelarchive.com.
